He’s Coming Again!

“For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.” Thessalonians 4

As a Christian I sometimes forget that He is coming again…soon. I live each day expecting to wake up and go to sleep, and then do it all again. But as we read today, He is coming soon and will take us away with Him. We do not know the time, but He is coming. This passage ends by saying “encourage one another with these words.” So here I am today, encouraging you to remember. The verses just prior to this passage reminds us how to live and act. To work with our hands and to love one another, and to not get caught up in sexual immorality.

I encourage you today in this way: If you have never asked Jesus Christ to be the Lord of your life, which means you give up your agenda and you pick up His agenda for you (you can find that in the Gospels-Matt, Mark, Luke, John) and begin living your life for him and others, do it today! And if you have done this then I encourage you today to share these passages with someone else today!
